The State Health Services Organization (SHSO) of Cyprus and the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), through the eHealth Laboratory, are moving forward with a strategic collaboration for the AVARIS System, a platform that is designed to digitize, optimize and streamline processes of the National Ambulance Services (EMS).
AVARIS supports the Full Emergency Response workflow, from the moment an emergency call is received from the Ambulance Call Centre to the safe transport of the patient to the Hospital.
This official establishment of the collaboration acknowledges the work accomplished to date, and marks a further step towards strengthening Healthcare delivery, in our country, through technology, research, and innovation.
As a laboratory, we would like to sincerely thank our collaborators from the Ambulance Services for their trust, commitment, and close collaboration throughout this effort. Their expertise and commitment are of paramount importance both during the development and throughout the continuous improvement and maintenance of AVARIS.
We are proud of the important contribution of the PhD candidate and collaborator of our laboratory, Stelios Mappouras, whose work substantially supports the implementation of this collaboration.
